Dota 6.58 - Dota-Allstars 6.58 At last, Dota 6.58 Beta - Dota-Allstars 6.58 Beta Map is Leaked! Thanks to Rizal who give me the Dota 6.58 Beta download link and various people trying and providing the changelogs. In this post i will compile it into single post. Enjoy!

Dota 6.58 Beta 33 Changelogs:
Blademail
Required Chainmail, Broadsword dan Robe the Magi
5 armor, 22 damage, 10 intelligent, Damage Return (active)

Cranium Basher: Required Javelin, Gauntlets of Stength dan Cranium Basher recipe
30 damage, 3 strength, Bash

Divine Rapier
+200 Damage
Required Sacred Relic dan Demon Edge
No longer need claymore to build
Still drops on death

Monkey King bar got +5 damage

Dirge the Undying remake
1st skill: Decay
Minus 4 str for 30 sec
Mana cost : 70
Damage 30/60/90/120 500 AoE
Cooldown : 11/9/7/5 sec

2nd skill: Parasite
hooklike skill, fires a bug towards point, infests first enemy it touches, does dmg over time, and when the unit with the parasite dies, it jumps to another unit in range.

3rd skill: Tombstone
summons a tombstone that spawns zombies, max of 6 at lvl 4, the zombies seem to just keep comming till the time is up or the tombstone dies, but max of 6.

Ultimate: Flesh Golem
turns Dirge into a Flesh Golem, with a passive AoE plague.... dont know if it has the same effect as before, but any unit that dies under the effect of plague heal dirge like his old zombies did

Storm Spirit remake
Electric Vortex
-looks like it drags the character it is cast on to the casting point, which is a pretty short range from SS

Static Remant
-leaves a copy of him sitting in a spot, only one at a time. when a character approaches, it attacks them

Overload
-After any spell SS casts, he gets the same overload as last game (it looks like at least). No longer based on how many attacks you do.

Ball Lightning
-can warp anywhere in the map, essentially a blink whose mana is dependent upon how much you want to spend. Much quicker cast time than his last ulti. Does damage depend on how far you blink.

Rikimaru +2.2 agility, down from 2.9
Bloodseeker's Rupture cooldown reduced: 100 sec --> 70 sec
Silencer Curse of the Silent is now AoE
Drow's Markmanship Agility Increased(12/24/36->15/30/45)
Demon Edge cost change (2600->2400)
Buriza recipe cost change (1000->1200)
Necrolyte now has HeartStopper Aura, instead of Diffusion Aura.
BloodSeeker base Str buffed (18->23)
Doom cooldown buffed(180/150/120 -> 160/130/100)
Kunkka's GhostShip MS Bonus nerfed. (30% MS -> 15% MS)
Techies renamed to Squee spleen and spoon
Lion had his tint removed
Lion's Projectile changed to a Ram's head

Dota 6.58 Beta 34 Changelogs:
Change on how Tombstone zombie goes out. When an enemy nearby, a zombie will come out and attack him.

Dota 6.58 Beta 38 Changelogs:
-Heart of Tarrasque now gives 1% of your max HP per second instead of +15 HP/s.
-Avatar of Vengeance Terror skill has been replaced by Terror Wave, does the same thing except for that it is now in waveform instead of hitting everyone close to her.
-Color tint on Lion is back.

  4. O a 3 sec cooldown is added for basher as it is stated in the item..lol and javelin has became 1500.

  5. Javelin now gives 21 damage + 20% chance for 40 extra damage, making it 29 damage per attack on average, for only 1500 gold.
    It's the best base damage item by far, even 3 blades of attack, which were recently made a lot cheaper give 2 damage less(and take 2 slots more).

  6. Haven't done much checking, Icefrog doesn't seem to care much for changing tooltips in beta releases so some changes are kinda hard to notice but here are some changes to add to your changelog:

    Silencer's CotS is now an AoE spell with 250 AoE. Have no hero to test it on so Im not sure but I guess it's the same old CotS but in AoE form so that you can curse multiple heros at once.

    Changed icon on LVL Death (Fire Lord's Soul Burn icon). Since it can only be used on heros I don't know if it has been changed in any other way, but it probably hasn't.

  16. Static Remnant may have low damage, but it also has a very low cooldown (synergy with Overload). If IceFrog were to increase the damage on it to make it more like a normal AoE nuke, he'd have to increase the cooldown as well. That would make the hero weaker overall, as he'd be able to proc Overload less often.
    Right now, I think he's quite powerful.
    Ball Lightning to an enemy -> Attack with Overload -> Cast Static Remnant -> Attack with Overload -> Use Electric Vortex to keep enemy from running -> Attack with Overload -> Cast Static Remnant -> Attack with Overload -> Use Ball Lightning to chase and finish with Overload.
    That's an incredible combo right there, especially considering you can easily run away at any point if you're in danger.

  18. Oh yeah, and the whole combo I mentioned above takes only about 500 mana (even lesser if you don't use Ball Lightning at the end), and you'll have more than enough by level 11. (Doesn't take more than 2 minutes to regenerate it all as well)
    Just go to the neutral creeps and try it out. The new Storm's way way more powerful than you seem to think.

    It's not about stealing information Icefrog wants to hide. He is not sitting at home whining all the day since some1 told us how the Beta looks like. It is simply the fact that Icefrog cannot show the beta officially because there are many bugs inside, tooltips are missing, some sort of stuff is unbalanced (just like the missing item from 6.57beta) and above all the not- that-loyal-fans are complaining about those facts. They would never accept the beta. They rather would say, DotA gets worth and worth. But Icefrog has a magic weapon against those blames: The beta is not official. You shouln't use it!

    SO, who are you? One of those who are complaining after visiting a blog with leaked information?
    Please ... no one wants to hear it.

    Name one good reason that betas should be private, when the full version is free and open to everyone(and no, someone deciding betas should be private is not a reason in much the same way that if he told you to jump off a cliff that's not a reason to do it).
    I'll even make a prediction: no sensible or logical reason will be posted by anyone.

    Again, that's because of -noherolimit.
    All of the units under Faceless Void's control can move in the Chronosphere. That's why fun builds like Manta Void, Necro Void, etc. are possible.

    Ah, so that's what Decay does. Makes more sense now. Removing 4 STR from an AoE every 5 seconds can be pretty powerful.

  53. Man, I am LOVING the new Undying. Parasite has got to be my new favorite ability. It does like 40 damage per second for maybe 5 seconds, then switches to another target. It seems that if it kills something then the next target takes increased damage. AND, it continues until there's no other nearby target to switch to.

    I had it single shotting creeps at one point. That's like 500-600 dps for 5 seconds there!! That'd nearly guarantee a dead hero should it switch to one.

  55. Fiend's Grip is imba, at level 1 it does 500 + 25% of max hp damage (and that 25% is used to heal you, oh and it steals 25% of enemy's mana as well). At level 3 it is 1075+25% of max hp. The mana cost is low for an ulti (100/175/250, and don't forget you steal mana as well so you probably don't even lose mana) and 120 sec cd aint all that long.
    The reason he wasn't top tier before was because he had no AoE, longer than average cooldowns and his disables are conditional (sleep cancels if attacked, fiends grip cancels if your stunned). Although those problems are still present, his ulti is now so strong that he will be able to gank the shit out of anyone making him toop tier anyway.

  57. Frankly, Bane is already strong. He doesn't need a buff except for maybe Nightmare.
    Also, for those who say heroes like Rylai/WD/Bane/Lina should be buffed should think about it again. They are already very strong if you use them properly.
    However, I too feel that Drow Ranger does not deserve a buff. If she gets a buff Centaur should too :P.
    As for heroes who should get remaked, maybe Nerubian Assasin or maybe Lich :P.
    As to Kunkka's nerf, I would rather Icefrog make TideBringer his ultimate with 6/5/4 delay between hits and 50/75/100 dmg bonus for 1 hit with 400/525/650 AoE splash and maybe a chance to cause a wave when attacking with TideBringer. Then Torrent could be buffed slightly and X the same. Then his third skill will be Ghost ship. Maybe like the old one in the beta :P

  60. The new Dirge sucks hard, especially the decay skill. Old Dirge wasn't much good either, though. Anyway, the new storm spirit is imba! I'm looking forward to pwn with him soon. I also think the nerf to kunkka's ulti is pretty harsh.

  61. Bane, Rylai and Witch Doctor do need buffs.
    Bane had very high mana costs on all his spells(His old ult costs 650 mana and 400 hp at level 3!), while he has low intelligence for an int hero and a bottle couldn't compensate much, unlike with other gankers and he also needs BKB to use his ult without being interrupted, so he wasn't used in high level games.
    Rylai is too slow, has very high mana costs(and her frost nova is totally inferior to lich's frost nova) and she needs a dagger and bkb to be able to use her ult properly, which is too much to farm for a ganker, while she also needs BoT, because she's too slow.
    WD just needs a remake. His maledict and ward deal high damage, but he needs to stay close to the opponent in order to deal that combo and his low hp don't really help for that and he also needs bkb to counter interrupts.
    Drow didn't need a buff, she owns pubs as it is, she just needs to be more team oriented in order to be used in high level games.
    Kunka needs his splash nerfed, it can currently hit units up to 1000 range(the 500 AoE in the tooltip is the radius of the splash and not the diameter) and will deal all his damage without any reductions from armor, so other units take more damage than the target he hits, which is stupid and doesn't make any sense.

  62. I don't think WD needs a remake. Maledict is the most powerful debuff in the game, and stacks with every combo. He's also a great farmer who can rapidly kill neutrals by spamming Cask. I never have problems farming up BKB and Aghanims on him.

    Bane was very mana-dependent before. Any sort of mana burn would shut him down big time, so things were especially bad for him in 6.57b where Diffusal Blades were so common. I'll need to play him to see if the new ultimate fixes this.

    Rylai most definitely needs a buff. Right now, she's a very strong ganker and walking mana fountain and nothing more. Her complete inability to farm (poor attack animation, low AoE damage on Nova, high mana cost on Nova, etc.) means that she has to struggle to farm up BKB and Dagger for her ultimate. She contributes almost nothing late-game. (You can even cast spells through Frostbite).

    Meepo's nerf was very much needed. But I expected some other buff to him to somewhat counter the nerf to Poof. Maybe his stats have changed?

    Why would you want Nerubian Assassin or Lich to get remade? They're both excellent heroes who are even seen in higher level games. I can understand wanting to change one of their skills each (Spiked Carapace and Frost Armor) but they definitely don't need a full remake.

    TombStone Skill

    it has a passive Magic Resistance
    and each Zombie has a passive Slowing Skill called "DEATHSTRIKE"
    Synergizes well with Flesh Golem Skill

    Purification Icon is Changed & lvl death icon is Changed too

  66. Actually, although the tooltips said that meepo got their poof dmg nerf to 120 dmg, it got buff to 270 dmg(it mean one meepo can clear 1 turn creep in a while). You just need to test it, freaking imba.

  68. Sentry wards don't need a buff. In older versions, invisible heroes were useless against a good team if they would just buy wards.
    And I really mean useless, not just 'countered'. It was so bad that no one would get invisible heroes in competitive games.
    Now that wards have been nerfed, teams have to spend money on Dust as well (which takes up slots, doesn't last long, can't be used to prevent invisible enemies from initiating, etc.) Now we're seeing Rikimaru (and to some extent, Gondar) in serious games as well. It's a great change.
    tl;dr Sentry Wards don't need a buff, Rikimaru just needs to be nerfed (and he has been).

  69. Yeah Sentries could need a buff. If Dust wouldn't have his ridiculous CD it would be a good alternative.
    Why buff bane? He has a decent lanecontrol and once his mana regenerates hes a force to be reckoned with on a one-on-one lane.
    Dont understand icy... the last changes were kinda dumb. Towerdenies give gold, Tower can lasthit for you... where is the thrill do be killed by scourgetower and not behitted once by a fag and lasthitted by the tower so the player gets the kill?
    Wirchdoc is fine, too. Stun him well and his maledict-ulti-combo roxx

  70. Atropos (Bane Elemental) isn't seen much in higher level games. Compared to other int ganker/support heroes, he needs too much farm to overcome his mana deficiency and be effective. Remember, he can't tank or carry, so he shouldn't be stealing creep kills from his allies.
    Plus his ultimate cost way too much for what it did. A channeling single-target disable that drains mana and hit-points and stops if you run out of mana? Stupid. Why pick him when you can pick Enigma or Magnataur and disable the whole team?

  71. Bane DOES need a buff. He's a strong hero, but just not strong enough to be a pick. Nightmare is a sleep spell and the target wakes up on hitting them as well as his ultimate being practically the channeling version of Beastmaster's Roar that is a shit load more expensive. Stunners and mini-stunners are used a whole lot in high level games making it impossible for Bane to channel long enough. Hell, Rhasta's normal shackles move has a channeling stun for just as much time.

    Also Bane's spells are incredibly expensive and his Brain Sap has a 20 s cooldown. Bane just need slight buffs for him to be a much more chosen pick. At the moment, if you need heroes that could stun, most people would just pick someone like Lion, or for an ulti stun, use Beastmaster instead.

Well, Think of bane in a 3-on-3. he can sleep one enemies, making a lategamer (mortred or sb else) harmless when using Enfeeble and use his ulti on a third one. paired with necro this can be insane. Sure hes not the strongest one but others should be buffed, not him, dirge or Storm. Has anyone seen venomancer getting picked lately? Dont think so...

  81. Here's how the new Tombstone seems to work:
    Every second, the Tombstone checks if there are any enemies around it and generates one zombie per enemy. Zombies have only 30 HP. Zombies have the "Deathstrike" buff that slows enemies they hit. After one hit, they get the "Deathlust" buff increasing their attack and move speed. Zombies cannot be controlled, and if the enemy they're attacking dies the zombies die too.
    The Tombstone is immune to all spells, has low HP, and has a duration.
    So now you can cast Tombstone in the jungle (using it to cut down trees appropriately) and then pull as many neutrals as you can into the AoE. This still isn't enough, as zombies die in one hit. You'll need to pull the neutrals and ensure they target you instead of the zombies. When you take too much damage, use Soul Rip to heal yourself.

  82. Oh, and another thing: the Zombies are immune to spells as well. Otherwise they'd die too easily to AoE spells, Radiance, etc.
    Battlefury should still rip through them.

  83. imagine someone pushing against es + undying .. 10-15 creeps + 15 zombies and they die very fast this means probably 15 or 30 more zombies .. this means lots of creeps, and one crazy earthshaker ult

    Also, in case some people are unaware, the new betas might actually be quite old. Beta testers usually do not leak the newest betas or Icefrog might kick the guy out of the team :P
    Finally, its true, Kunkka is gay because of his Tidebringer. Kunkka should be slightly gay or Icefrog would not be giving enough credits for the loading screen :P. Maybe make Tidebringer an Ultimate!

  86. Earthshaker's ultimate only counts enemy units and corpses, not allied units. I don't think zombies leave corpses (their bodies disappear quickly without leaving skeletonized corpses).

    Sure, Bane can Nightmare one hero, Enfeeble another, and Fiend's Grip the yet another hero. But that still leaves two other heroes who can stun him, canceling his ultimate. Nightmare gets canceled by AoE spells and Radiance. I agree Enfeeble is strong, but that's why IceFrog is nerfing it slightly by removing the HP degeneration.

  93. @redrach Thats exactly the reaon why i said in a 3on3 game. Sure there might be better ones in a 5on5 but on my competitive games we picked him sometimes cuase there were only worse heroes in -rd mode (esl). But i wouldn'T mind a buff either. But icy seems to buff one thing horribly and needs to nerf it through the next 3 Version (Kunkka,Orchid, clockwerk...)

    I'm not sure what you're saying. Electric Vortex still pulls the target to the location at which Storm casted the spell. It doesn't draw Storm to the enemy.

    The biggest changes I've seen:
    - Dirge is now a STR hero!
    - Heart of Tarrasque now gives 1% of your max HP per second instead of +15 HP/s. A HUGE buff! Late game you can expect this to give over +30 HP/s for STR heroes.

    As a side note, has anyone been able to jungle with the new Dirge? It's pretty hard. You can no longer expect zombies to tank for you, now you have to tank for your zombies! Even after you max. Tombstone, it still takes a while before you have enough HP that you can reliably tank enough to kill 3 creep camps every 60 seconds. Even then, it's just 3 creep camps every 60 seconds! I guess a lot of creep stacking is necessary now. He's no longer a hero that anyone can jungle with.

    -Basher's bash chance on ranged units have been nerfed back to 10% (meele chance is still 25% tho).
    -Avatar of Vengeance Terror skill has been replaced by Terror Wave, does the same thing except for that it is now in waveform instead of hitting everyone close to her. Still sucky stats tho.
    -Color tint on Lion is back.

    Drow has +109 with no items, because of +20 from stats, +45 from ult and 28% from her aura(which results in +44).
    Terror was buffed, because it sucked.

  111. Terror was an okay skill on a good hero. I'm not angry that it's been changed (In fact, I think the new skill is pretty cool), it's just that I wish IceFrog would focus on heroes that need it more first.

  117. WHeat, Riki has been nerfed, check the map. His agility gain has lost a whopping 0.7 points and is now only 2.2. That's 17 less agility at level 25, which is 17 less damage and 17 less backstab damage.
    Not sure if it's enough though. Will need to play vs. him in a pub to tell for sure.

  128. The new waveform is a huge change and it's absolutely awesome.
    You're now invulnerable, so you can no longer die during waveform from things like bloodseeker's ult or triggered AoE spells and you don't lose control of the hero, so he no longer starts attacking a random creep after waveforming, but instead what you ordered with Shift queue or during waveform. Just swesome.

It is simply the fact that Icefrog cannot show the beta officially because there are many bugs inside, tooltips are missing, some sort of stuff is unbalanced (just like the missing item from 6.57beta) and above all the not- that-loyal-fans are complaining about those facts. They would never accept the beta. They rather would say, DotA gets worth and worth. But Icefrog has a magic weapon against those blames: The beta is not official. You shouln't use it!

  149. Haven't done much checking, Icefrog doesn't seem to care much for changing tooltips in beta releases so some changes are kinda hard to notice but here are some changes to add to your changelog:

    Silencer's CotS is now an AoE spell with 250 AoE. Have no hero to test it on so Im not sure but I guess it's the same old CotS but in AoE form so that you can curse multiple heros at once.

    Changed icon on LVL Death (Fire Lord's Soul Burn icon). Since it can only be used on heros I don't know if it has been changed in any other way, but it probably hasn't.

  152. Atropos (Bane Elemental) isn't seen much in higher level games. Compared to other int ganker/support heroes, he needs too much farm to overcome his mana deficiency and be effective. Remember, he can't tank or carry, so he shouldn't be stealing creep kills from his allies.
    Plus his ultimate cost way too much for what it did. A channeling single-target disable that drains mana and hit-points and stops if you run out of mana? Stupid. Why pick him when you can pick Enigma or Magnataur and disable the whole team?

  153. Bane DOES need a buff. He's a strong hero, but just not strong enough to be a pick. Nightmare is a sleep spell and the target wakes up on hitting them as well as his ultimate being practically the channeling version of Beastmaster's Roar that is a shit load more expensive. Stunners and mini-stunners are used a whole lot in high level games making it impossible for Bane to channel long enough. Hell, Rhasta's normal shackles move has a channeling stun for just as much time.

    Also Bane's spells are incredibly expensive and his Brain Sap has a 20 s cooldown. Bane just need slight buffs for him to be a much more chosen pick. At the moment, if you need heroes that could stun, most people would just pick someone like Lion, or for an ulti stun, use Beastmaster instead.
