I think the only nerf feel will be the increase in the Scorched Earth, others apparently do not change much in the game.

I think that unlock should be sth like:
'-unlockX'
X- number of hero u want to unlock (sth like switch/swap),
if more than one player leave and u still want to switch one of them.
