Good guide! I came looking for the -dh command, after reading that Wisp could "troll" players who weren't familiar with it. But now I know what it meant!.

Regarding change of tiles, such as Dessert instead of the default Grass, I think it is done using some third-party software. Tools like this I believe can be found at www.playdota.com, in the Forum-section.
